OHSU School of Medicine's Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign

Dear Students and Alumnae/i,
The devastating earthquake in Haiti has left the country in ruins, and untold numbers dead. Many people are wondering how they can help. Students and faculty of the OHSU School of Medicine are combining efforts to make the greatest impact possible, and we feel that raising funds is the most effective way to help. Students across all four years have undividedly expressed the desire to do everything we can within our powers and have come together in this moment to unite our voice. We hope that with your help we can respond to this crisis as a unified community to help Haiti get back on its feet.

We realize that channeling funds appropriately is extremely important. We have chosen to support Partners in Health (PIH), and ask that you help us meet our goal to raise $10,000. We feel that PIH will work to support both the urgent and long term health care needs of Haiti.

In addition to the funds we generate amongst ourselves, we welcome any donation you are willing to make! Thank you for helping to unify the OHSU School of Medicine community in support of helping those lives impacted by the earthquake in Haiti.

Sincerely,

Sharl Azar, MS4 President
Jessica Carlson, MS3 President
John Heineman, MS2 President
Richard Bruno, MS1 President

When a Person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well…

Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill.
