Lick-Wilmerding High School's Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign

Lick-Wilmerding High School is located in San Francisco. We are a "private school with a public purpose". We aim to teach our students how to give generously and responsibly. We want our students to see that communal action can have a large impact. Through penny wars, bake sales, basketball games, and film festivals students are raising money toward our goal. The parent community has agreed to match student funds. Our faculty are donating and creating curriculum to teach (long term) about Haiti specifically and global issues (more broadly). Most importantly, we send our love to the people of Haiti. We know that our donation, as a community, is small in comparison to the vast need. But, we give what we can and we try to give ethically and smartly and with a commitment to deepening our knowledge about our place in the world and how we may use our education to make change. Please contribute to the Lick-Wilmerding HS page! Bring Aid to Haiti

Thank you for joining me to bring aid to the people of Haiti

The scope the disaster is truly enormous, and a tremendous influx of immediate aid is needed to avert an even greater loss of life. Partners In Health has been working in Haiti for over 20 years. Our local team is already working to ensure PIH’s coordinated relief efforts, leveraging the skills of more than 120 doctors and nearly 500 nurses and nursing assistants who work at established sites throughout Haiti.

Please help me make sure that this skilled team has the resources it needs to address the crisis at hand.

When a Person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well…

Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill.
