Conjoined Twin Sisters Successfully Separated in Haiti

On Friday, May 22, history was made at University Hospital (HUM) in Mirebalais, Haiti. Just two days before they turned six months, Marian and Michelle Bernal were successfully separated following a seven-hour-long procedure that required the collaboration of HUM staff with a team of national and international surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists.
